Job Summary : We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to become part of our team.
Under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will assist in assessing, treating, and managing communication disorders for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities :
- Aid the SLP in conducting speech and language screenings.
- Execute treatment plans designed by the SLP.
- Provide direct therapy services to individuals and groups.
- Track and document patient progress.
- Educate patients and families on exercises and strategies to enhance communication.
- Prepare materials and maintain equipment for therapy sessions.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications :
- Associate degree in a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent.
- Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Preferred experience working with children and / or adults with communication disorders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
