About the Role
Data is central to Twitch's decision-making process, and scientists are a critical component to promote data-driven decision-making in all of our operations.
As a Data Scientist in Marketing at Twitch, you will support our partners in executing exciting marketing campaigns and making informed decisions.
You will report to the Marketing Data Science Manager.
You have experience wrangling and analyzing very large datasets using SQL, visualization tools and techniques to build dashboards, and are proficient in A / B testing and statistics (including but not limited to regression methods, hypothesis testing, and causal inference).
You will be part of the full lifecycle of identifying analytics needs, formulating the result, working backwards from there to come up with a solution and eventually implementing it to help partners understand the state of the business and make important decisions.
You Will :
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses, build robust automated dashboards and self-service analytics to empower team members to make decisions based on applicable insights.
- Guide the building and strategy of marketing campaigns across multiple marketing channels including, but not limited to, emails and push notifications.
- Analyze marketing campaigns that touch creators, viewers, and the entire Twitch ecosystem and measure the impact of these campaigns.
- Design, execute, and analyze A / B tests from beginning to end.
- Assist with data collection pertaining to areas such as audience segmentation and marketing campaign performance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, math, statistics, data analytics or operations research
- 1-3+ years experience in an analytics function in the consumer internet space or in a high-velocity, high-growth product / business
- Expert SQL skills and the ability to wrangle potentially unruly data
- Experience with Python, R or other similar statistical tool
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in engineering, math, statistics, data analytics or operations research
- Experience using Mode or other similar data visualization tool
- Fluency in data analysis and communication around data
- You are a Twitch user yourself and have experience with gaming and media

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $97,500 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,800 / year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
