Zapp is looking for Back End Software Development Engineers who relish solving complex problems with the simplest possible solutions.
Our backend systems are responsible for streamlining inventory management, helping our customers find exactly what they’re looking for, and making sure our riders get to our customers as soon as possible.
As our company enters its next stage of growth, we seek engineers with an appetite for ambiguity, a willingness to roll up their sleeves and the leadership skills to guide small teams towards high-quality deliverables.
Main Responsibilities
- Understand the goals of the business.
- Propose and build systems that help stakeholders move towards these goals.
- Understand our growth targets and fix bottlenecks in our systems that would prevent us from reaching them.
- Increase the quality of the quantity of commits pushed to production.
- Help your manager grow a mature team of engineers.
- Define KPIs for performance.
- Be the voice of Engineering in quarterly / annual planning.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following
- Professional experience (5 years plus) as a back end developer scaling applications within fast paced environment.
- Strong Typescript skills and experience with NestJS / NextJS.
- Experience using GCP or AWS.
- Knowledge of GraphQL.
