NextGen Weather Processor Program Intern

The NextGen Weather Processor (NWP) Program is seeking a motivated student intern for the summer 2026 months to participate in day-to-day operations that include general office administration. The position is a great opportunity to learn operations and program management skills, as well as gain exposure to multi-level leadership and a variety of other programs within the sub-mission area. This position will work in partnership with leadership and other departments including engineering, finance, supply chain, business development and others. As a Program Office Intern, the selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the program staff in a variety of tasking. The selected candidate will need to be able to adapt in a dynamic work environment and have the proven ability to independently push actions to closure.

What You Will Do :

Shadow Program Management staff and perform designated tasks in support of program execution.
Assist with meeting preparation, including report generation / review.
Prepare spreadsheets, analyze proposals, and support program review meetings.
Assist in the archiving of documents.

What You Will Learn :

Lead a business improvement project and present to leadership during internship.

Work with cross functional teams to develop program plans.

Consolidate data from various reporting systems to provide stakeholders with data needed to manage effectively.

Qualifications You Must Have :

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program / contract.

Qualifications We Prefer :

Proven organizational and communication skills.

Experience with MS Office Suite.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong desire to learn.

Ability to prepare presentations and brief personnel.

Experience working in teams.
