NextGen Weather Processor Program Intern

The NextGen Weather Processor (NWP) Program is seeking a motivated student intern for the summer 2026 months to participate in day-to-day operations that include general office administration. The position is a great opportunity to learn operations and program management skills, as well as gain exposure to multi-level leadership and a variety of other programs within the sub-mission area. This position will work in partnership with leadership and other departments including engineering, finance, supply chain, business development and others. As a Program Office Intern, the selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the program staff in a variety of tasking. The selected candidate will need to be able to adapt in a dynamic work environment and have the proven ability to independently push actions to closure.

What You Will Do :

  • Shadow Program Management staff and perform designated tasks in support of program execution.
  • Assist with meeting preparation, including report generation / review.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, analyze proposals, and support program review meetings.
  • Assist in the archiving of documents.

What You Will Learn :

  • Lead a business improvement project and present to leadership during internship.
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop program plans.
  • Consolidate data from various reporting systems to provide stakeholders with data needed to manage effectively.
  • Qualifications You Must Have :

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program / contract.
  • Qualifications We Prefer :

  • Proven organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong desire to learn.
  • Ability to prepare presentations and brief personnel.
  • Experience working in teams.
