Lineage Data Management Analyst

We're looking for a Data Management Analyst to :

• collaborate across our organization to understand, interpret, and document bank's data flows, in line with the DMO methodology and framework
• work as a Pod lead and lead a team of metadata analysts to work with Business and IT SMEs to define our firm's data, in line with our enterprise wide 'data language' and document the key controls that exist along these data flows, facilitate control framework assessments that ensure known gaps or issues are documented
• deliver both new lineage and lineage maintenance work on time with high quality, maintain an excellent standard for all aspects of project delivery and governance, including planning, status reporting and risk management
• participate in team's long-term vision, mission, strategy and quarterly objectives and key results,
• coach and develop team members
• support the CREW Lead and partner closely with other POD members, align businesses and control functions across teams and divisions

Your team

You will be working in the GOTO Operations & COO within the Group Data Management Office (GDMO). The GDMO is responsible for embedding a data management culture into our organization by advocating for our strategy and proactively challenging the way our company works with data.

The GDMO is made up of approximately 200 people, comprising UBS permanent staff, contractors, and consultants. You will be playing a key role in the Data Lineage team reporting directly to Crew Lead of your respective division and will work closely with Standards, Automation, PEX and Program Office colleagues.

Our DMO colleagues are based in multiple locations, including UK, USA and India. Your role will be based in our Raleigh, NC. office.

Your expertise

• ideally 5+ years of experience within data management / business analysis, experiences in data governance, data management and data lineage are desirable
• people management experience with leading a team and experience of working in larger teams are highly preferred
• strong organization, project / program management skills with emphasis on timely delivery, risk management and stakeholder management, specifically, experience of interacting with management teams
• ability to drive change across the organization and influence key businesses
• methodical, concise, and accurate with strong attention to details, excellent problem-solving ability, with a can do attitude
• strong data analysis & documentation skills, excellent co-ordination, organization, and planning ability, able to relay information, a logical thinker and methodical problem solver, able to learn new techniques quickly
• knowledge of banking or capital markets, familiarity with current regulations such as BCBS 239, IFRS, CCAR are desirable
