Our client provides commercial customers with HVAC mechanical contracting services as well as deploying expert field technicians for the maintenance, repairs, and energy-efficient replacement of HVAC systems.
They are looking to add a Human Resources Manager to their team.
Salary / Hourly Rate :
$120k $140k plus Bonus
Position Overview :
The Human Resources Manager will lead the HR function. The Human Resources Manager will proactively engage with business operations to develop and drive HR initiatives to support business objectives.
This role encompasses a broad range of HR support, including performance management, compensation and benefits administration, training and development, compliance, and talent acquisition.
The Human Resource Manager reports to the President with a dotted line to the Director of HR for the corporate parent and is located in Smyrna, GA.
Responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager :
- Manage all human resource activities including employment life cycle, compensation, employee and labor relations, recruiting, talent management, benefits, and training and development.
- Facilitate employee development and relations management including conflict resolution, training, and communication.
- Manage employment regulatory compliance including EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, AAP, ACA, Title VII, and various legislation impacting the employment arena.
- Maintain company salary structure, job documentation, and job evaluation systems and complete local salary survey questionnaires.
- Implement and communicate the value of benefit offerings to employees, serving as a liaison between employees and benefit administrators.
- Develop and implement HR function process improvements.
- Recommend, develop, and schedule training and development courses. Establish and lead intern and apprenticeship programs.
- Provide advice, assistance, and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural issues and inquiries.
- Develop and recommend operating policy and procedural improvements.
- Perform specific research / investigation into employee-related operational issues, as requested.
- Administer collective bargaining agreement for 10 employees, inclusive of discipline and discharge.
- Prepare, recommend, administer, and assess various compensation programs such as annual bonuses, sales incentives, spot recognition, annual merit, etc.
Qualifications for the Human Resources Manager :
- Prior work experience in the service, construction, or other related industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment and labor and benefit legislation and regulations and knowledge of achieving OFCCP compliance.
- Demonstrated financial acumen to assess compensation program effectiveness as well as assessment of liabilities and risks regarding compensation and benefits due diligence efforts.
- A high energy level, professional passion for human resources, employee problem solving, and helping others achieve professional success.
- Professional stature characterized by strong communication skills (oral and written), strength of convictions, and the ability to be appropriately persuasive and compelling regarding her / his own viewpoints as well as for the organization.
- Credible HR professional with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to build effective business relationships at all levels of the organization.

Education Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree is required. A degree in Human Resources Management is preferred.
- Human Resources certification (PHR / SPHR) is preferred.
