What We Are Looking For :

The Business Analyst, Growth will occupy a vital role within our e-commerce team. This individual will focus on on :

  • analyzing market trends and customer behaviors,
  • crafting detailed business requirements and user stories using an agile first method, but also requiring the ability to deliver detailed business requirement documents when appropriate,
  • and encompasses a significant responsibility for defining QA test plans and conducting functional user acceptance testing (UAT).

This comprehensive approach ensures that our e-commerce systems and processes not only align with our strategic growth objectives and user needs, but also meet our high standards for quality and performance before their release.

What You’ll Be Doing :

  • Data Analysis and Insights : Perform detailed analyses of market trends, customer behavior, and product performance to drive strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Business Requirements and User Stories : Write precise business requirements and user stories, ensuring clear communication of the project goals and desired outcomes to development teams.
  • QA Test Plan Development : Create thorough QA test plans, detailing test cases, acceptance criteria, and testing procedures for new features and system enhancements.
  • Functional User Acceptance Testing : Lead functional UAT sessions to verify that product updates adhere to business requirements and user expectations, documenting outcomes and feedback for iterative improvement.
  • Market Research : Conduct ongoing market research to keep abreast of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs, informing our growth strategy and product roadmap.
  • Performance Reporting : Generate and manage reports on key performance indicators for growth initiatives, presenting insights and findings to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
  • Collaborative Project Management : Work seamlessly with teams across Growth, Product, Marketing, and Engineering to integrate insights, requirements, and testing feedback into the product development lifecycle.
  • Strategic Planning Support : Assist in strategic planning efforts with data-driven insights and comprehensive documentation, helping to prioritize initiatives with the greatest potential impact.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Serve as a key communicator between the Growth team, technical teams, and other departments, ensuring strategic and operational alignment.
  • Process Improvement : Continually seek to refine our analysis, reporting, strategic planning, and testing processes, adopting innovative practices and tools.
  • Other duties as assigned and related to the nature of this role and company initiatives.

This is an individual contributor role, reporting to our eCommerce leader.

Requirements : Education :

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.

Experience :

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business analysis or a related role within an e-commerce or growth-focused setting, including experience with writing business requirements, user stories, QA test plans, and leading UAT.
  • Proficiency in using requirements management features of systems like Jira, TFS, Azure DevOps, etc.

  • Documentation and Testing Expertise : Proven experience in creating detailed business requirements, user stories, and QA test plans.

Skilled in conducting comprehensive UAT to ensure product alignment with expectations.

  • Technical Proficiency : Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, BI tools) and a solid understanding of software testing principles.
  • Communication and Collaboration : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
  • Problem-Solving and Project Management : Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, resolving issues creatively, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • E-commerce Knowledge : Deep understanding of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing strategies, and user experience best practices.
  • Adaptability and Continuous Learning : Agile and adaptable to new challenges with a commitment to continuous improvement in methodologies and knowledge.
