JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for handling diversified tasks such as : administrative, touring, cleaning, and classroom assistance to assure the health and safety of children in the classroom and all areas of the building.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports directly to the Director and Franchisee / owner. Whenever the Director or Franchisee is not present, the administrative assistant reports directly to the Assistant Directors.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Administrative Tasks : Greet each family and child as they enter, answer phones, maintain touring information, create and distribute weekly food menu, order and maintain office and food supplies within the weekly budget, and maintain the maintenance log.
- Maintaining and Growing Enrollment Support- Including and providing accurate information to parents and guardians through school tours, phone calls, and electronic communication.
Having information available is tangible to prospective parents.
- Cleaning Responsibilities - to include but not limited to the following cleaning duties : staff bathrooms, upstairs break room, front lobby (closet included), Boo Boo Room, preschool hallway, including the water fountain.
- Medication Administration Manages the medicines and medicine administration for the children at the school, including giving medicine as prescribed at 11 a.
m. and 3 p.m. Ensures the medicine documentation is completed and signed as required. Ensures the medicine is not expired, all OTC medicines are accompanied by a doctor’s note, and prescribed medicine is in its original container.
Classroom Assistance - to include direct classroom support through teaching and breaks (bathroom, stress, or lunch). Classroom support provides a loving, nurturing, and educational environment that fosters the development of the children in your care.
Develop a positive, trusting relationship beyond meeting the children's daily needs. Stays attentive to the children / infant’s needs and flexible as they change easily.
