Overview : Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time position at a high school near Franklin, NJ.
The ideal candidate will hold a TOSD (Teacher of Students with Disabilities) or TOH (Teacher of the Handicapped) Certification, with a preference for candidates who also possess a Math Certification.

Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Adapt general education lessons in various subjects to meet the needs of students with disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other specialists to provide optimal educational experiences
- Maintain accurate and complete student records and prepare reports on student progress as required by laws and regulations
- Communicate regularly with parents / guardians regarding student progress and participate in parent-teacher conferences
Requirements :
- Valid New Jersey teaching certification in TOSD (Teacher of Students with Disabilities) or TOH (Teacher of the Handicapped)
- Preferably certified in Math or willingness to become certified
- Experience working with high school students with diverse learning needs preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
