Key Responsibilities :

Provide high-acuity care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular and complex medical needs.

Deliver pre- and post-operative care for cardiac and vascular surgery patients (e.g., CABG, carotid endarterectomy).

Monitor and manage patients with acute cardiac conditions, including myocardial infarctions, arrhythmias, CHF, and pacemaker care.

Perform ongoing assessment, intervention, and documentation of patient condition using EPIC.

Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition with critical thinking and appropriate clinical interventions.

Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.

Maintain patient safety and comfort in alignment with evidence-based standards.

May float to other units, including Med / Surg, based on staffing needs.

Experience Required : \nMinimum 2 years of Critical Care (ICU or CVU) nursing experience.\n\nEPIC charting system experience required.\n\nQualifications : \nCurrent California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.\n\nBasic Life Support (BLS) certification – required.\n\nAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – required.\n\nProficient with EPIC electronic medical record system.\n\nStrong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.\n\nAbility to manage care for medium to high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment.
