Position Summary
Clerk Typist 2 is advanced clerical work which involves moderately complex work methods and problems and requires skilled typing.
The variety of work differs among s, but where work is more repetitive there is an additional responsibility for finality of action.
Work may include the operation of other standard office machines for which no previous training is required.
Duties & Responsibilities
Performs duties which require skilled typing, tasks performed may require application of independent judgment and clerical knowledge.
Operates standard office machines, CRT and computer as required. Maintains the less complex records and reports where no technical knowledge is required but where frequent procedural problems may arise.
Prepares or checks payrolls, vouchers, requisitions, and purchase orders; maintains personnel, financial and similar records.
Composes and types form letters and other routine correspondence based on information from records and files; prepares rough draft reports, narratives and statistical tabulations.
Understands and carries out moderately complex oral and written instructions. Makes arithmetic computations accurately with reasonable speed.
Performs other related duties as assigned. Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise).
Performs all other related job duties as assigned.
Education
High School diploma is required.
Experience
Generally requires 0 to 3 years of related experience.
License / Certification
Non-licensed worker.
