Job Location Promontory Development - Park City, UT Education Level High School The Promontory Club is looking to fulfill a vacancy for a Retail Assistant Full time.
The Retail Assistant will possess excellent member & guest service skills, be detail-oriented and highly self-motivated.
The Retail Assistant will work closely with the Director of Retail on all aspects of Promontory Clubs merchandise operation.
This individual will ensure merchandising priorities, strategies and tactics are aligned with the standards of the facility and follow the established merchandise plan.
- Provides superior, first class customer service to members & guests.
- Assists with merchandising concession to achieve its established mission within the retail operation.
- Maintains an attractive and orderly appearance in and around the retail outlets.
- Assists with maintaining product documentation from purchase to sale, including purchase orders, receiving records, invoice validation / payment, inventory records and special-order records to document merchandise history.
- Assists department Director with yearly budgets, merchandise goals and strategies.
- Maintains effective stock levels on all core Soft Goods.
- Sells and maintains retail outlet merchandise.
- Places special orders upon request.
- Receives, prices and enters merchandise into POS system, and monitors inventory levels.
- Assists with monthly inventory counts to ensure proper inventory control.
- Ensures stockrooms are kept organized so that items are easy to locate.
- Ensures replacement and return policies are adhered to.
- Works closely with Retail Director to coordinate and order staff uniforms.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work practices to management;
complete safety training and certifications.
- Other duties as assigned by the Retail Director.
- EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS : High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; must be at least 21 years of age;
- must have a good driving record and the ability to be added to Promontorys vehicle insurance. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : 3-year related experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is required ;
- must have good written and verbal communication skills; basic computer skills and competency in the following, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred;
previous experience working with a Point-of-Sale System (Northstar) is preferred; must have a high attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment all while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- WORKING KNOWLEDGE TO BE ACQUIRED ON JOB : Abide by Promontory policies and procedures and submit ideas for possible revision;
- work independently with little supervision; courteous and helpful with Promontory Club Members and employees. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods of time;
- ability to lift 25lbs frequently and the ability to lift 50lbs occasionally; must be willing to work various hours, nights, holidays and weekends when needed;
must be able to work in hot and cold environments.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Wages start at $22 / hr and will be determined upon employment and will be commensurate with experience.
