Role Summary :
Seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join their dedicated behavioral health team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a mission-driven professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of both adult and adolescent patients within an inpatient setting. You’ll be part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team focused on delivering holistic, patient-centered care through assessment, therapy, discharge planning, and crisis intervention.

Key Responsibilities :
Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary care team to develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
Serve as a liaison between the hospital, patients, families, insurers, and community resources to facilitate access to necessary clinical services.
Provide direct social work services including :
Comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments
Individual, group, and family psychotherapy
Discharge planning
Crisis intervention
Patient and family education
Deliver care that is safe, timely, efficient, and patient-centered, in alignment with best practices and regulatory standards.
Maintain clear, timely, and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system (EMR / EMH).
Participate in designated hospital committees and contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives.
Act as a field instructor for social work students, if qualified.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work.
Current Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) credential.
2–3 years of professional social work experience, including recent work in inpatient behavioral health settings.
Demonstrated experience working within multidisciplinary care teams.
Ability to conduct intake assessments and lead therapeutic group sessions.
Proficient in documenting care in EMR / EMH systems.
Availability to work weekends, which are critical for department coverage.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with discharge planning.
Proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system.
Location and Work Type :
On-site position based in Michigan.
This is a 13-week contract with the potential for extension.
