About us

Dagster Labs, the organization behind Dagster, the open-source project, and Dagster+, simplifies data engineering. In recent years, there's been an explosion of data tools, making data stacks too complex.

Dagster brings order to the chaos with a unified, data asset-oriented orchestration control plane. By centralizing data pipeline management, Dagster helps organizations efficiently navigate modern data infrastructure.

As an early-stage, well-funded startup team, we boast a proven track record of shipping open-source software with global adoption.

Our culture prioritizes respectful, clear, and comprehensive communication, while fostering creativity, curiosity, effectiveness, and empathy among team members.

About the role

We're seeking a storyteller extraordinaire to become the voice of Dagster Labs' thriving data engineering community. As our Community Engagement and Social Media Manager, you'll blend technical expertise with creative flair, crafting short-form copy that transforms complex data concepts into digestible, engaging content.

This unique role offers you the chance to elevate our brand from good to great, bringing authenticity, wit, and a dash of humor to the world of data orchestration.

You'll be the communication architect of our digital presence, conceptualizing and producing content that not only resonates with our audience but stays ahead of trends.

Working with our product marketing team, you'll help lighten our voice and make our message more practical and easily digestible for leads and customers alike.

If you thrive on building relationships, have a knack for turning tech-speak into captivating stories, and are excited about shaping the future of data orchestration with a team-first mindset, this role offers an unparalleled opportunity to leave your mark on a rapidly evolving industry.

  • Work closely with marketing, product, and engineering teams to align community efforts with overall business goals.
  • Stay current with data engineering trends and social media best practices, incorporating them into content strategy.
