JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse independently plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care in patient care situations using standards of care, policy, and procedure.
Provides direct nursing care to patients, assumes teaching and leadership responsibilities, and participates in shared decision making and quality improvement activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a comprehensive plan of care
- Implement interventions and coordinate care delivery
- Provide patient education and evaluate progress toward outcomes
- Practice ethically and integrate evidence-based findings into practice
- Communicate effectively and demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting
- Ensure environmentally safe and healthy nursing practices
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
- Participation in the RN Residency Program for new RNs
