Job Description :
The Product Owner of Architecture for US Retail Markets
USRM) will play a crucial role in elevating our product practice within IT
Architecture. This is a unique role that
will help provide the 1500+ engineering community with an aggregated view of USRM
Architecture key initiatives through driving Architecture as a Product using
Agile best practices. This individual will collaborate with other product
owners, scrum masters, key members of architecture, and leadership to define
and prioritize epics, features, and stories. By ensuring alignment with
organizational goals, they will contribute to the overall success of our strategy.
The Product Owner will partner with Architecture leadership
to translate the overall business vision into an Architecture strategy and
tactics for specific product delivery. They will manage the creation of
roadmaps to visualize key deliverables to achieve portfolio / channel objectives
and be accountable for outcomes and key KPI's tied directly to architecture
objectives. Additionally, they will create external blogs, strategy updates,
and communications to the organization.
Candidates that live within 50 miles of a tech office location are required to be in the office two days a week.
Responsibilities :
Collaborate with product owners, architecture teams, and
leadership to define and prioritize epics, features, and stories in specific
areas of the architecture disciplines.
Work closely with the architecture team to define and prioritize deliverables
and outcomes, with a focus on application solutions and data.
Support the overarching Architecture Operating Model by effectively
communicating with key customers and stakeholders, gathering feedback to align
the deliverables.
Partner closely with the Scrum Master to identify trends and opportunities
that can drive enhanced efficiencies.
Continuously seek feedback from our
organization to understand their needs and incorporate their inputs into the
way we work
Conduct regular reviews of product performance and make data-driven
recommendations for improvements and enhancements.
help evangelize and scale our reusable catalog of software
solutions that make the architecture real for the organization
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of Agile development methodologies as typically acquired through a Bachelors? degree in relevant field (business, computer science, humanities etc
7 years in business, technology, or consulting with 5 to 7 years direct experience with agile teams
- Master's degree preferred
- High level of proven business expertise needed to set clear priorities for product and understand business value impacts
- Develops strong stakeholder relationships and influencing across multiple organizational boundaries
- Demonstrated experience leading varied audiences through the development of complex ideas, issues and designs
- Ability to lead varied audiences through census building
- Proven experience with Agile practices and expectations
- Comfortable with making decisions with some level of uncertainty
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of insurance industry preferred
- Knowledge of relevant products and portfolio strongly preferred
- Strong experimental mindset to drive innovation amongst uncertainty and exploit market opportunities
