Core Engineering, which sits in the Engineering Division, provides the foundation for our global front-to-back businesses by providing platforms that improve the lives of engineers, empower innovation, increase operating efficiency, and enhance resiliency.

Our Product Management organization within Core Engineering manages these platforms to advocate on behalf of our users, customers, and clients to deliver customer-centric products.

By establishing strong product management, a design and research mindset, we will create the mentality for everything that Core Engineering builds and maintains, constantly improving and evolving to meet the needs of both our customers and the firm.

You'll partner closely with Core Engineering senior leadership and product managers to solve complex organizational and business challenges to align Core Engineering with its rapidly changing environment and increase engagement with other engineers and segment leaders.

Role specific opportunities :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Product Management Operations Team within Core Engineering as a VP of program.

As a key member of our team within Product Ops, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational efficiency of our product offerings.

In this role, you will work closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of product operations, while maintaining adherence to engineering and industry policies / best practices.

Key Responsibilities include

• Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of product operations including product feature requests (PFRs).
• Collaborate with senior management to define operational goals and objectives aligned with the bank's overall strategy (OKRs).
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative solution enhancements.
• Partner with broader Core Engineering product managers to enhance customer experience and meet applicable SLAs
• Help lead product operations along with the product management community, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including product managers, engineering teams, and senior leaders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and resiliency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• At least 3-8 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience working in a global environment across a matrixed organization.
• Experience in change management, product operations or product management within the financial services or fintech industries.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational inefficiencies.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve business problems efficiently, effectively, and collaboratively.
• Ability to work closely with senior level sponsors and stakeholders to create consensus around plans, activities, and measures of strategic projects.
• Ability to establish cross-team alignment and buy-in to elevate engineers and our Goldmans Sachs Engineering brand.
• Ability to create outcome-driven plans and manage multiple projects.
