Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Line Producer to join our team supporting a daily financial news program for Charles Schwab. This fast-paced role involves producing 1-2 live or live-to-tape broadcasts each weekday, requiring close collaboration with the production team to ensure high-quality, polished, and well-executed shows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Line produce 1-2 daily live or live-to-tape studio shows
  • Select stories and conduct guest research for editorial content
  • Build and manage detailed show rundowns
  • Write and edit scripts, teases, and segment copy
  • Coordinate video elements, graphics, and show assets
  • Oversee timing and pacing for smooth execution
  • Provide editorial and logistical leadership during pre-production and live broadcast

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in live studio newscast production
  • Strong editorial judgment and script writing skills
  • Proficiency with rundown software (e.g., iNews, ENPS)
  • Ability to work under deadlines in a collaborative environment
  • Willingness to work early morning shifts (5 : 00-7 : 00 AM)
  • Must be on-site at our Chicago office
