Job Title : Pharmacy Technician (Data Entry)

POSITION SUMMARY :

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor andPharmacy Manager the Pharmacy Technician provides exemplary serviceto multiple clients including product manufacturers physicianpatients and internal customers.

Contributes to the profitabilityof CareMetx by ensuring personal productivity and efficient use ofmaterial resources. Must be licensed in the state ofTexas .

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Maintains effective systems to support thetimely release of accurate information to diverseclients.
• Responsible for the prescriptionintake of all programs specific to nondispensing pharmacyprescriptions across multiple prescriptionbrands.
• Logs information into the appropriatepharmacy database and triages all prescriptions to the appropriatedispensing pharmacy.
• Pharmacist support relatedto prescription processing as needed.
• Mayassist with inbound call volume asreceived.
• Work closely with Pharmacists andother Pharmacy Technicians.
• Run eligibilitychecks and test claims as needed for patient prescriptions asrequired.
• Distribute prescriptions toappropriate Reimbursement Specialists and appropriatestakeholders.
• Maintains and promotes a positiveand professional working relationship with associates andmanagement.
• Complies with all appropriateprogram policies and procedures.
• Works onproblems of moderate scope where analysis of data requires a reviewof a variety of factors. Exercise judgment within defined standardoperating procedures to determine appropriateaction.
• Typically receives little instructionon daytoday work general instructions on newassignments.
• Perform related duties asassigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONALREQUIREMENTS : Previous 3 years of professional work experience as aPharmacy Technician.

MINIMUM SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITYREQUIREMENTS :

• Pharmacy Technicianlicense (National licensepreferred)
• Pharmacy Technicianlicense in state of Texas (if not currently licensedability to obtain licensed).
• Ability to work ina fastpaced environment
• Understanding ofpharmacy regulations for prescriptionprocessing
• Ability to communicate effectivelyboth orally and in writing.
• Strong computerapplication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skillsteam player.
• Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
• Strong attention todetail.
• Adaptable and flexible to newsituations.
