Locum Physician (MD / DO) - Hematology and Oncology in California

About The Position We are seeking a board-certified Hematologist / Oncologist for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Dec 1, 2025. This full-time opportunity features Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm day shifts, and focuses on both hematology and oncology cases in a predominantly outpatient setting. Job Details Location : California Start Date : Dec 1, 2025 LOA : 10 days Provider Type Needed : Hematologist / Oncologist Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Responsibilities and Duties Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in both outpatient (95 percent) and inpatient (5 percent) settings Manage a daily patient volume of approximately 16 Diagnose, treat, and monitor patients with a variety of hematologic and oncologic conditions Collaborate with ancillary staff, including physician assistants, registered nurses, and nurse practitioners as available Utilize Epic EMR for all patient documentation and care coordination Adhere to best practices and maintain high standards of patient care throughout the assignment Additional Information Must have experience working in rural settings Board certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology is required California medical license required Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
