    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant or EFDA to join our team at Alcoma Dental Associates . This position is for full time Monday-Thursday. As a Dental Assistant, you will provide top-notch dental care that makes our clients feel like family. You will provide assistance to the dentist during exams and procedures and complete administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments. The ideal candidate has a certificate from a certified program and previous experience as a Dental Assistant. If youre friendly, outgoing, and committed to creating a fantastic dental experience, we want to hear from you!

    • Associates Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
    • Current and valid PA X-Ray License
    • Strong computer and data entry skills
    • Ability to provide high-quality patient care
    • Strong knowledge of patient assessment techniques
    • Familiarity with medical imaging procedures
    • Experience with documentation review and adherence to HIPAA regulations
    • Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental setting
    • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
    • Duties

    • Assist dentists during procedures like extractions, root canals, fillings, etc
    • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and equipment, and set up treatment rooms
    • Scheduling appointments and managing patient records
    • Maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment
    • Instructing patient on post-procedure care and at-home care
    • Scanning or taking impressions and necessary x-rays
    • EFDA : completing simple fillings
