The Microsoft Threat Protection group is looking for a Product Manager II to shape the future of cloud cybersecurity and help organizations worldwide to protect their digital estate from the ever-evolving threat landscape.

Microsoft’s combined security information and event management (SIEM) and extended detection and response (XDR) solution enables SecOps teams to detect, investigate, respond to, and defend against cyberthreats with a fully integrated and comprehensive set of capabilities including SIEM, security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR), behavioral analytics (UEBA), XDR, and global cyberthreat intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product, engineering, security research and marketing teams throughout the product development lifecycle to deliver best-in-class experiences.
  • Develop product backlogs, drive execution to results and manage outcomes. Work with customers to help direct product roadmap, improve customer experience and drive our business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies. Communicate clearly about projects, risks, and accomplishments on behalf of the team to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required / Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience in product / service / project / program management or software development
  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements :

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings : Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in product / service / project / program management or software development
  • OR equivalent experience
  • Able to tackle and solve ambiguous challenges and create clarity on the solution.
  • Customer empathy and ability to identify customer needs.
  • Collaboration and partnership skills, with proven ability to drive for results across teams.
  • Technical and technological understanding.
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Cybersecurity background is preferred

Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
