We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Mergers and Acquisitions to lead our M&A initiatives. This role will be crucial in driving our company's growth strategy through strategic acquisitions, partnerships, and market expansion opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's M&A strategy in alignment with our overall business objectives and growth plans
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential acquisition targets and strategic partnerships in the solar and broader renewable energy market
- Lead due diligence processes, including financial, operational, and legal assessments of target companies
- Negotiate deal terms and structure transactions to maximize value for the company
- Collaborate with internal teams (finance, legal, operations) and external advisors to ensure smooth execution of M&A transactions
- Lead the structuring and negotiation of project financing, including debt, equity, and other financial instruments.
- Collaborate with banks, investors, and other financial institutions to secure funding for projects.
- Oversee post-acquisition integration processes to ensure successful outcomes and synergy realization
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market opportunities to inform M&A strategy
- Prepare and present M&A proposals, analysis, and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors
- Manage relationships with investment banks, legal counsel, and other external advisors
Requirements :
- Energy M&A transaction experience. Any non Energy experience will not be considered
- You must be able to work in NYC at least 3 times a week in office.
