Probate Attorney - Georgia
The Georgia Probate Attorney will handle all aspects of probate and estate administration, including trusts, and litigation.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Georgia probate law, excellent client service skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of cases with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on all aspects of probate and estate planning, including trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
- Represent clients in probate court proceedings, including contested and uncontested matters.
- Handle the administration of estates, including filing necessary documents, communicating with beneficiaries, and ensuring compliance with Georgia probate laws.
- Assist clients in minimizing estate taxes and navigating the probate process.
- Provide legal advice on complex probate and estate issues, including asset distribution, guardianships, and conservatorships.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in Georgia probate law.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to deliver high-quality legal services.
- Manage client relationships and maintain effective communication throughout the probate process.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing with the Georgia State Bar.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia probate laws and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in legal research and familiar with legal software and technology.
- Compassionate and client-focused with strong interpersonal skills.
