Job Title : Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

Location : Fayetteville, NC

Salary : $56,000 - $98,000 per year (based on experience)

Shifts : 12-hour shifts available (Days, Evenings, or Nights)

Job Summary :

We are working on behalf of our hospital client in Fayetteville, NC, to find a dedicated Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team.

The Med / Surg RN will be responsible for planning and implementing professional nursing care for patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

This position includes the opportunity to assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned. New graduates are encouraged to apply and join a supportive and dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Med / Surg unit, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor and assess patients' physical, psychological, and spiritual needs, ensuring that care is tailored to each patient's specific requirements.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities when assigned, overseeing the work of nursing staff and ensuring quality care delivery.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including documentation of nursing interventions and patient responses.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, providing education and support as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development to enhance nursing practice.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Exhibits effective organizational and leadership skills.
• Knowledgeable about the age-specific physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual needs of patients typically served in the Med / Surg unit.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods; position may involve contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials.
• Visual and auditory acuity required for patient observation and communication.

Required Licenses and Certifications :

• RN - Board of Nursing : Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Experience : At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
