A highly regarded California law firm is seeking a motivated associate attorney to join their dynamic team. We are searching for an associate with experience handling all aspects of litigation and a background in business and / or employment law.
The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills with the ability to handle matters independently while working well in a team setting.
Associates can expect to counsel businesses and employers on a variety of matters and representing them through litigation.
As an associate on the team, you may also be responsible for creating employee handbooks, contracts, and employment policies, as well as conduct investigations.
Qualifications :
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Member and in good standing of the California Bar
- 3-5 years of litigation experience in employment, contracts, and / or related business disputes
- Experience in all phases of litigation including discovery, depositions and hearings, and settlement negotiation
- Highly skilled in legal research and drafting complaints, motions, briefs, memorandums, discovery, and other legal correspondence
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines efficiently
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to think strategically
