Title : Manager I, Facilities Call Center Manager
Oversees the planning, development, and implementation of building and grounds maintenance operations for the DeKalb County School District (DCSD) utilizing the DCSD Work Order System.
Provides leadership and management for the DCSD Facility Call Center, ensuring efficient operations, timely responses, and effective coordination of maintenance services.
Essential Functions :
- Schedules and assigns tasks to employees, recommending overtime when necessary to meet operational demands.
- Responds to service requests from schools, ensuring effective communication and coordination with the appropriate departments.
- Supervises and provides direction to work order analysts, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Monitors and ensures that daily work orders are completed and properly closed out in the system.
- Provides guidance and instruction to employees, ensuring high performance and adherence to established standards.
- Collaborates with Operations, General Maintenance, and Maintenance departments, along with the Safety Coordinator, on building projects and issue resolution.
- Coordinates and supports emergency response efforts for after-hours and weekend cleaning of school facilities.
- Organizes and facilitates professional development training for staff.
- Ensures all inbound calls are handled promptly, professionally, and in alignment with service standards.
- Establishes direct communication with school personnel across the district to enhance customer satisfaction and resolve concerns.
- Prepares and distributes work order reports as needed or upon request.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor’s degree from an approved accredited college or university is required.
- Minimum three years of experience in a custodial services environment required. Supervisory level work experience in facilities management or custodial services environment preferred.
- Minimum ten years of extensive work experience in technical / professional level industrial hygiene or closely related fields may be considered.
- Valid driver’s license required.
