Senior Supervisor - Evening

Assign Shift Supervisors, Supervisors and Officers to their post positions and issue orders set by the Director & Assistant Director of Campus Security to ensure that the facility is adequately monitored and protected against possible safety infractions.

Attend all event-related meetings and establish rapport with clients, service contractors, and MCCNO personnel.

Stay informed of current events, daily facility operations, and building maintenance and capital improvement projects and brief personnel on such information.

Inspect personnel and equipment at the start and end of each shift to ensure compliance with established Campus Security rules and regulations.

Ensure that all department staff are in full uniform and physically capable of performing their shift duties.

Monitor work performance of Campus Security personnel to ensure compliance with established procedures and safety guidelines.

Ensure that all Campus Security systems are operational and report any malfunctions to the Director immediately.

Respond to and protect the facility from incidents of fire, medical emergency, theft, illegal entry, loitering and other suspicious acts in accordance with the policies and procedures set by the MCCNO.

Respond to incidents including fire, medical emergencies, theft, illegal entry, and suspicious activity in accordance with MCCNO policies.

Accurately report and log unusual occurrences and complete detailed incident reports in a timely manner.

Review and ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of reports prepared by security personnel.

Support new hire training to ensure consistent understanding of incident response, reporting procedures, and MCCNO policies.

Secure leave slips from all department staff who plan to take time off and submit that information to the administrative office so that schedules can be adjusted ensuring adequate coverage of the facility.

Participate in decisions related to the selection, promotion, transfer, pay and discipline of assigned personnel.

Orient employees to MCCNO policies and procedures, clearly communicate job duties and responsibilities so individuals may proceed with certainty in the performance of their positions.

Personally conduct or oversee training for new employees to ensure established procedures are clearly understood and followed.

Monitor the work performance of assigned personnel on a continual basis, conduct effective performance appraisals, and take corrective action whenever necessary.

Create a working climate in which assigned personnel are motivated to develop their skills and abilities and demonstrate by personal example the desired standards of conduct and work performance.

Administer MCCNO policies in a fair and equitable manner with regard to discipline, tardiness, absenteeism or insubordination and fully document all incidents and actions taken.

Work extended / irregular hours as necessary including nights, weekends and holidays.

Professionally interact with diverse groups of people in high pressure situations.

Possess a proactive attitude, exceptional problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.

Possess general knowledge of all MCCNO emergency systems.

Minimum of three years' experience in a supervisory level position required.

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; and four to six years' experience in a security, safety, or law enforcement related field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
