New Dawn Treatment Centers is a dual diagnosis treatment organization committed to providing exceptional care through evidence-based practices.
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Licensed Therapists / Social Workers / LPCC Counselors / Psychologists (PsyD or PhD) to join our dynamic teams the Sacramento County.
Key Responsibilities :
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing Motivational Interviewing, CBT, ACT, and other evidence-based techniques.
- Conduct family and process groups, case management, and discharge planning.
- Provide person-centered treatment and interventions to meet individual needs.
- Coordinate care internally and with external agencies, including step-downs to Intensive Outpatient Programs.
- Deliver addiction counseling using a person-centered approach, focusing on veterans and active-duty personnel.
- Utilize treatment modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Change, and Helping Men Recover curriculum.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications :
- Minimum of 4 years of addiction counseling experience.
- Experience working with Veterans and Active-Duty personnel.
- Proficiency in Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is preferred.
- Licensed or license-eligible candidates (waiting to sit for the exam) are encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of person-centered treatment planning and interventions. Work Environment :
