The Strategy Team is responsible for developing and executing the strategic vision and direction of the College Board. We work closely with the executive leadership team, business units, and external partners to identify opportunities and challenges, evaluate options, and implement solutions that advance our mission of expanding access to higher education.

As the ED, Career Strategy & Partnerships, you will build on our progress to lead this organizational initiative by developing overarching strategy for our careers work, facilitating cross-programmatic connections, and leading the College Board's external agenda in the career education space.
In this role, you will :
- Lead and facilitate cross-enterprise careers strategy.
- Own and lead strategy for shared careers / workforce partnerships.
- Lead College Board's external agenda in workforce / careers.
- Manage two direct reports and collaborate with cross-functional leads to implement, sustain, and strengthen careers investments.
About you, you have :
- Strong ability to set vision and direction and drive impact across a large organization - you make things happen in professional and academic settings.
- Outstanding knowledge of emerging trends, best practices, and a deep network in workforce / career education.
- Adept problem-solving skills, including using data to inform decisions and actions.
- Superb ability to build relationships and influence others to action.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitating meetings and presenting remotely and in-person to large groups and in high-visibility settings.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, across lines of difference.
- Experienced manager with a track record of helping team members succeed and grow.
- A passion for continuous learning and improvement, and ability to support others to grow together.
- A passion for supporting educational and career opportunities for millions of students.
About the Process
- Application submission window will begin immediately and will be accepted through February 9, 2024. We will review and respond to applications on a rolling basis during this period.
- The hiring process will include resume and application submission, recruiter phone screen, hiring manager interview (with work samples), performance exercise (such as drafting a short presentation or producing a writing sample), interviews with key partners and direct reports (2), and Reference Checks (approximately 8-week process).

As a self-sustaining non-profit, we believe in compensating employees equitably in relation to each other, their qualifications, their impact, and the relevant market.
The hiring range for a new employee in this position is $144,000 to $220,000. College Board differentiates salaries by location so where you live will narrow the portion of this range in which you can expect a salary.
Your salary will be carefully determined based on your location, relevant experience, the external labor market, and the pay of College Board employees in similar roles.
