Job Description Summary
The Clinical Nurse II for General Surgery / Trauma B3 contributes to creating a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues through kindness and active listening.

Job Description :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local / state / federal regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs for care and responses to care rendered, applying sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered and collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain professional nursing standards.
Salary Range : $34.65 - $35.60
Minimum Qualifications :
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
- Must hold a current NYS Registered Nurse license and obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and demonstrates the ability to apply them in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement.
