Job Description : Speech-Language Pathologist
Location : Creswell, Oregon
Position : Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Summary : The Creswell School District is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist.
This role involves working with students to assess, diagnose, and treat various speech, language, and communication disorders.
The SLP will be a vital part of our team, helping students improve their communication abilities and achieve academic success.
Key Duties :
- Perform comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language issues in students.
- Design and implement individualized therapy programs tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student communication goals.
- Keep detailed records of student progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to develop appropriate goals and interventions.
- Provide training and resources to teachers and staff on speech and language development strategies.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Oregon state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Oregon Teaching License with an endorsement in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements :
- Successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting.
- Compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education.
