Summary :
The Emergency Department RN has the responsibility andaccountability for assessing patient / family health problems andresources, taking a leadership role in the planning,implementation, and evaluation of the nursing plan of care providedby the nursing team.
Providing technical nursing care andinterventions to a designated patient population. Per theDepartments Scope of Practice, this position requires providingservices to all patients, regardless of age, in a manner thatdemonstrates an understanding of the functional / developmental ageof the individuals served.
This position requires the fullunderstanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission ofCHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
It is expected that theassociate demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. Theassociate shall support the CHRISTUS St.
Frances Cabrini’sstrategic plan and the goals and direction of their PerformanceImprovement Plan (PIP).
Requirements :
Must be able to prioritize workflow daily. Mustbe able to communicate effectively in written and spoken form withindividuals of various education levels including physicians.
Ability to interpret medical terminology and possess anunderstanding of human anatomy and physiology.
One-year recent experience preferred. Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills. English required, bilingual (English / Spanish;
English / French) preferred.
- Current LouisianaRN License
- Current BLS
- ACLS& PALS within 3 months ofhire
- De-Escalationcertification
- TNCC certificationpreferred.
