About The Position Barton is seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Dec 1, 2025, with a 100-day assignment and requires 24-hour call coverage for emergent cases, averaging 7-14 shifts per month. Candidates must have recent inpatient privileges and provide a relevant case log from the past 24 months. Job Details Location : California Start Date : Dec 1, 2025 LOA : 100 days Provider Type Needed : Cardiothoracic Surgeon Schedule : 24-hour call coverage, 7-14 shifts per month, 2-4 hours of rounding per shift Responsibilities and Duties Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for emergent cardiothoracic surgery cases Manage patient care for urgent surgical interventions as required Complete 2-4 hours of patient rounding per shift Maintain comprehensive and accurate case documentation Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary medical teams Additional Information Must hold an active California medical license Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required Must have Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification Recent inpatient privileges and case log activity within the past 24 months required Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
