Summary :
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading medical facility in San Jose, CA, to find an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Director of Surgical Services.
This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations and strategic direction of the surgical services department, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities :
- Operational Excellence : Ensure efficient and effective department operations, managing staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Quality and Safety : Maintain a culture of safety and quality, implementing evidence-based practices and monitoring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Staff Development : Recruit, mentor, and develop top-notch nursing talent, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Collaboration : Build strong relationships with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated care.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Experience :
- Proven experience as an RN in a surgical setting.
- Previous experience as a manager or above in a high-volume OR setting is preferred.
- Licensure / Certifications :
- Current RN license in the State of California.
