About Temecula Valley Hospital
Essential Job Duties :
Oversees quality monitoring with monthly reporting, directing work in department, service rounds on key customers, and communication facilitator.
Educates SPD staff during working situations, tracks training on staff.
Replies to problem calls from OR and other departments, assisting manager / director and acting in their absence.
Serves as subject matter expert in SPD, collaborates with SPD manager / director and infection
Involved in quality and performance improvement objectives.
Demonstrates knowledge of aseptic technique.
Able to understand difference in sterilization techniques and is able to demonstrate proper use.
Demonstrates ability to decontaminate, assemble and wrap instrument trays for serialization.
Demonstrates ability to properly operate all sterilizing devices.
Demonstrates knowledge of accurate sterilization records including graphs, charting and biological testing
Demonstrates ability to accurately perform all quality control checks on all instruments and equipment.
Qualifications
Three (3) years in SPD as CRCST
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associates or bachelors degree preferred
CRCST, CHL, or CIS required
