About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Pediatric Oncology / Hematology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM, every other weekend required Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Pediatric Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant skills preferred License : Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of practice;
or, if declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as your primary residency, meet licensure requirements there; for Non-National License Compact states, current RN license required in the state of practice Certifications : - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)- APHON Chemo certification is mandatory Must-Have : APHON Chemo Certification Job Description : Collects data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or situation.
- Analyzes assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.- Identifies expected outcomes for an individualized plan.
- Develops a plan prescribing strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.- Implements the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies for a safe environment.
- Delegates care elements to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with legal or policy parameters.- Evaluates progress toward the attainment of goals and outcomes.

Physical Requirements : The work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds when handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must communicate effectively in English, have an intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch, and demonstrate finger dexterity and critical thinking skills.
Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and unit conditions.
