Ethics Officer-PT

City Colleges of Chicago (CCC), the largest community college system in Illinois, is made up of seven colleges and five satellite sites, providing more than 70,000 students access to a quality, affordable education.

Reporting to the General Counsel, the Ethics Officer-PT serves as a senior staff member within the Office of the General Counsel. This position plays a critical role in overseeing and implementing City Colleges of Chicago's Board Ethics Policies and ensuring compliance with ethical standards. The Ethics Officer-PT provides expert advice concerning ethical matters, handling inquiries, violations, and related training efforts.

Essential Duties

  • Oversees City Colleges of Chicago's Board Ethics Policies
  • Addresses ethical inquiries and reports of ethical violations
  • Develops and provides ethics training sessions for faculty, staff, and administrators
  • Produces an annual ethics report outlining significant developments during the prior fiscal year
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Juris doctorate is a plus
  • At least five years of ethics or compliance experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent public speaking skills
  • Ability to function in a high-level position requiring utmost confidentiality, discretion, tact, and judgment
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
