AMERICAN SYSTEMS has an upcoming opportunity for a Logistics Support Analyst (Staff Principal) delivering technology consulting to our Government Customer's mission in Washington, DC and Northern Virginia.

A week in the life of a Logistics Support Analyst (Staff Principal) :

  • Maintain and sustain assets deployed for CBP mission operations and perform analysis of operational data to make informed decisions.
  • Review / update CBP policies for data collection and reporting of operational measures.
  • Develop / review logistics and sustainment plans for programs ensuring their implementation.
  • Develop / optimize operational performance measures resulting in best total ownership cost of the system, asset, or technology.
  • Perform data analysis and support program leads in collecting and reporting of operational metrics to stakeholders.
  • Perform inspections / audits of facilities and processes ensuring efficient and effective sustainment of systems / assets.
  • Review supply chain processes, sparing models, asset management system and identify supply chain / operational risks.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, CMMI Level 3, and DHS ALF and SELC processes, and procedures.
  • Experience with DHS Systems, Technologies, and Architecture.
  • Ability to identify technical risks and provide remediation plans.
  • Experience with management / development of internal government Service Level Agreements
  • Adept at application of sound practices ensuring performance, maintenance and logistics.
  • Expertise in applying Government strategies to technical solutions, e.g., autonomy, security, integration.

Job Requirements

  • CBP BI clearance REQUIRED (Top Secret clearance also acceptable)
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years' experience or High School and 21+ years' experience.
  • Previous experience in developing and implementing life-cycle sustainment requirements for new technology programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management and oversight of systems in the support / sustainment phase of the system engineering lifecycle.
  • Must have practical experience and project management knowledge to manage large and complex program requirements and initiatives throughout OA and CBP.
  • Knowledge of and experience in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint are required.
  • Knowledge of demonstrated experience in logistics management and systems engineering.
