About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Shift, 12 Hours Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Previous experience in Conscious Sedation and Stress Testing required License : GA or compact license required Certifications : Relevant nursing certifications as applicable Must-Have : Experience in PACU or similar recovery settings- Ability to float to other facilities as needed- Experience with administering medications, initiating and maintaining IVs, and monitoring vitals- Proficient in EKG interpretation and providing moderate sedation- Experience providing discharge instructions and aftercare Job Description : Perform recovery and procedural duties within the Heart and Vascular pre- and post-operative areas- Assist in procedural areas including Cath lab, EP, EVL, and IR- Administer medications and initiate / maintain IV fluids- Connect patients to monitors, obtain vital signs, and perform comprehensive assessments- Obtain medical / surgical history and prepare patients for procedures- Participate in the Stress Lab, including a weekend call schedule- Conduct TEE / cardioversions as needed- Provide patient discharge instructions and aftercare- Float to other facilities occasionally based on operational needs Note : Orientation hours include a specified multiplier.
Weekend on-call may be required based on scheduling needs.
