Overview :
Selectsproducts from inventory and assembles, packs, and transports tostaging areas for shipment. Required to work in freezer, cooler,and dry warehouse and to maintain the appropriate productivitystandards.
Performs all duties safely, accurately, and meets setproductivitygoals.
- Followessential selection pick path, select product, correctly label, andstage product onpallet.
- Loading andunloading product deliveries asrequired
- Record anynecessary item information into Warehouse Management System (WMS)or applicable inventorysystem.
- Maintainaccurate records of shortages and reports them toSupervisor.
- Stackproduct on pallet with heavier items on bottom and lighter on topto prevent damage to product in order to maintain a securepallet.
- Deliverstacked pallets to assigned area onloading dock in an effort to ensure that products are accuratelystaged and can be systematicallyloaded.
- Secure palletswith shrink wrap fordelivery.
- Workeffectively with immediate Supervisor to minimize warehouse shrink(product loss) and general inventory control (cycle andproductcounts).
- Responsiblefor the neatness and cleanliness of assigned work area, accuracy ofwarehouse locations, and travel aisles, loading baysanddocks .
- Reportany unfixable / unsafe issues (Lock Out / Tag Outitems) immediately tosupervisor.
- Observeand enforce all safety rules in an effort to reduce accidents andinjuries.
- Operateappropriate material handling equipment, such as forklifts andpallet jacks, in a safe and orderly manner in an effort to reduceaccidents andinjuries.
- Ensure thatmaterial handling equipment is maintained (daily inspection) andclean; report repair or service needs to supervisor in an effort toreduce equipmentdamage.
- Ensurewarehouse computers and equipment are used in a safe andprofessionalmanner.
- Use warehousecomputers and equipment in a safe and professionalmanner.
- Understand andcomply with all applicable company policies (i.e. attendance, Codeof Business Conduct & Ethics, Associate Handbooketc.).
- Ensurecompliance with all applicable State / Federal laws, regulations, andpolicies (i.e. OSHA (Occupational Health and Safety Admin.
HACCP(Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), BRC,etc).
Cross-trains inother warehouse functions and performs other warehouse duties asassigned.

EducationandExperience :
Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred;previous warehouse experience and / or training preferred.
MaterialHandling Equipment preferred. Reach truck experiencepreferred. Crown and / or Raymond reach truck experience aplus.
LanguageSkills :
Abilityto read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence,and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to speakeffectively in one-on-one and small groupsituations.
MathematicalSkills :
Abilityto add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure,using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability tocompute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bargraphs.
