General Summary of Position

Unit Highlights

Nurses on 2NW care for the most complex, critically ill patients in the region using family centered care that includes 24-hour visitation.

Collaboration with Intensivists, Advance Practice Providers, Therapists, and others make our team cohesive and effective.

Structured orientation and continued education prepare our nurses for practice and certification in our specialty.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex.

You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

  • ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
  • Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
  • Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
