POSITION PURPOSE : The Senior Account Manager is responsible for managing and expanding the company's relationships with key oil and gas distribution customers, as well as Automotive Aftermarket WD's and program group members.

This role focuses on achieving sales targets, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring exceptional customer service in a defined geographic territory.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Sales Strategy and Execution :
  • Maintains and develops successful partnerships with oil jobbers, WD's and program group members to deliver mutual sales objectives.
  • Identifies opportunities for incremental profit growth, presents creative solutions to customers and closes business to achieve sales goals.
  • Compiles, analyzes, and recommends changes to projections from sales staff, manufacture representatives, and customers to drive towards business objectives and exceed sales targets.
  • Customer Relationship Management :
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Compiles and presents business presentations to customers that identify business opportunities to grow the business.
  • Provides assistance to current and potential customers by maintaining an expert knowledge base of OWI products and pricing structure.
  • Intimately understands customer's environment and strategic priorities to build value propositions which drive growth.
  • Market Analysis and Reporting :
  • Controls requests for pricing from customer and manufacturers reps by utilizing competition information, market intelligence and current price list to recommend prices that will fit customer's request and fall within profit objectives.
  • Product Knowledge and Training :
  • Continuous personal development of the industry, company products, services and processes.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork :
  • Collaborates with Adjacent Coolant Market team to drive growth in stationary engine market.
  • Works closely with program group leads to generate new business with members across territories.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business / Marketing (related field) required or equivalent experience, including account management.
  • 3-5 years' sales experience in a fast-paced environment, specifically within the oil and gas industry. .
  • Proven track record of sales prospecting and managing complex sales processes.
  • Experience negotiating successful resolutions to complex challenges.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills.
  • A strong collaborator, able to interact and cooperate with multiple cross functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and varying tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be independent, detail oriented, highly organized.
  • Expertise in Power Point, Excel and Microsoft.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and personal credit card.
  • Travel required up to 50%.
