Key job responsibilities- Leading development and maintenance of key system features- Working with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility.
Working in an Agile / Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against strict timelines.Basic Qualifications- 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience- 7+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering teamPreferred Qualifications- 7+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent- Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered- Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations- Demonstrated ability to mentor other software developers to maintain architectural vision and software qualityAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500 / year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
