DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will engage in various analytical tasks, preventative maintenance, and repair activities for a fleet comprising construction machinery, trucks, and automobiles, all powered by gasoline or diesel engines. Your responsibilities will include servicing hydraulic, electrical, heating, cooling, exhaust systems, as well as manual and automatic transmissions. Additionally, you will conduct state vehicle inspections for all relevant equipment, complete necessary work orders, accurately record time spent, and promptly report any accidents or damage to the equipment. It is essential to identify the correct procedures for repairing heavy machinery to effectively carry out your duties. You must also apply the necessary mechanical adjustments to achieve the desired outcomes while ensuring a safe working environment for yourself, fellow shop personnel, and equipment operators.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours are 7 : 00 am to 3 : 00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Shifts may vary seasonally / due to weather and / or based on operational needs
• Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary : Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $55,492.00 (before taxes).
