Warehouse Supervisor 2nd Shift
Job Overview :
We are seeking a motivated and experienced 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse during the second shift.
In this role, you will manage a team of up to 10 employees responsible for steel handling, cutting, and distribution in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.
You will ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise Daily Operations : Oversee the day-to-day activities in the warehouse, including the handling and cutting of steel, equipment operation, and the movement of materials.
- Team Leadership : Manage and mentor a team of warehouse workers and machine operators, providing training, performance feedback, and coaching.
- Safety Compliance : Enforce company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Quality Control : Monitor the quality of steel cutting operations, ensuring accuracy and precision in accordance with customer specifications and company standards.
- Shift Reporting : Maintain accurate shift reports, documenting production levels, employee performance, and any issues or incidents that arise.
- Collaboration : Work closely with the Operations Manager and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.
Qualifications :
- Experience : 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in steel cutting or heavy industrial settings.
- Education : High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Skills :
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of steel handling, cutting machines, and warehouse operations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions :
- Shift : 2nd shift (typically 3 : 00 PM to 11 : 00 PM), may require occasional overtime.
- Environment : Fast-paced warehouse, exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures.
