Location : West Des Moines, IA 50266
Unit Name : Obstetrics / Post Partum
Shift : Days, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours / week
Duration : 13 weeks
Job Description :
As an L&D Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to women before, during, and after childbirth, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure the safety and well-being of both the mother and child.
You will use your clinical skills and knowledge to support labor, delivery, and postpartum care, and assist with deliveries as needed.
Responsibilities :
- Monitor and support mothers throughout labor and delivery, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including assessments, monitoring, and education.
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to manage and implement patient care plans.
- Assist with and manage deliveries, including routine and high-risk births.
- Willingness to float to OB / L&D units at multiple facilities, including IMMC and ILH.
- Use EPIC EMR to document care and manage patient information accurately.
Requirements : Experience :
Experience :
- 2+ years of current experience in Labor & Delivery and / or Obstetrics.
- Travel experience is strongly encouraged.
Certifications :
- BLS (AHA or ARC).
- ACLS.
- NRP.
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM).
