Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Med-Surg Adult Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM, 12-hour shifts Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience required License : Valid RN license in Colorado or multistate RN license through the Nurse Licensure Compact Certifications : American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and basic ECG required Must-Have : - Immunization records, including Rubella, Rubeola, Mumps, Varicella-Zoste, Hepatitis B, and Tetanus - Recent TB test (QuantiFERON accepted) - Influenza shot (required during influenza season) - Confirmation of COVID Vaccination - Negative 10-panel drug screen results (within the last 30 days) - Resume with work experience - Documented references - Proof of OSHA training - Assessment of skills / competencies - Recent criminal background including OIG check - CAPS check through the State of Colorado - W-9 for the company Job Description : - Provide nursing care to patients in the Med-Surg unit.
- Utilize the nursing process to meet the needs of patients of all ages, including assessment, planning (discharge, nursing care), implementation, and evaluation.
- Perform treatments and administer medications safely and effectively. - Maintain responsibility for preparation, interpretation, and evaluation of test data.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills to act appropriately in emergency situations. - Educate and counsel patients and their significant others in a plan of care.
- Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and competency, completing mandatory education as required. - Promote positive interpersonal relationships and demonstrate effective communication skills.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient and hospital information. - Practice according to professional and ethical standards.
- Function in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act. - Participate in committees as assigned. - Perform duties in accordance with vision, mission, and goals.
- Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulatory standards. - Perform all other duties as assigned.
