Salary Range
$59.50 - $83.07 plus applicable shift differential
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Medical Imaging Manager, the CT Technologist is responsible for the timely and efficient operation of the CT scanner and the workflow process as well as patient safety.
Performs the OEM mandated quality control. Coordinates scheduling with Central Registration personnel. Coordinates with other modalities for efficient patient throughput.
In addition to preforming the essential functions listed below, may also be assigned to other duties as required.
Educational Requirements
Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program, Required.
Work Experience
- Two years Computed Tomography experience, Preferred.
- Two years working as Radiologic Technologist, Required
License & Certifications
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (, Required
- Certified Radiologic Technologist by the State of California Required.
- Registered CT Technologist with ARRT, or will receive certification in Computed Tomography within one year from date of hire as CT Technologist, Required.
- Basic Life Support, Required.
Skills & Abilities
- Able to adjust to add-on and emergency procedures.
- Able to organize time efficiently.
- Able to communicate with patients and families of various age groups by modifying the delivery and complexity of information based on age.
- Able to competently operate CT scanner in accordance with ALARA principles and hospital protocols. Able to operate power injectors, Teleradiology System, DR Systems, (PACS), Centricity (RIS), EPIC.
