American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a critical care ICU position requiring a LA or compact license and Epic proficiency.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in an adult ICU with patient ratios ranging from 1 : 1 to 1 : 3Care for patients pre and post-kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants, including those with acute kidney injury and esophageal tamponadeNight shifts (3x12 hours, 19 : 00–07 : 30)Frequent management of transplant and complex medical patientsBedside conscious sedation is performed on the unitUses Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA pumps, Servo I ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis, NxStage dialysis, Verathon Bladder Scanner, and Arctic Sun TMSRequired to float to all adult critical care units and may float to ED or PACU for ICU patients; may occasionally be reassigned to Med / Surg or helping hands rolesWeekend requirement includes four weekend shifts per four-week scheduleHoliday shifts are requiredPrimary responsibilities include care of critically ill transplant and complex medical patientsMay care for up to four patients if floated to the Med / Surg unitPre-start specialty modules required (5-8 hours, non-billable)Dress code requires teal, white, or a combination of both, with closed toe / heel shoes and no artificial / acrylic nailsRTO (time off) requests should be limited as excessive RTO is not permittedName badge must be worn at all times\n \n Requirements\n
